With this Corona virus thrashing around and half Europe on lock down and working from home I thought I bring you a new Volume of the never ending story of "The Unknown Beauty Of The 80s". And to be honest this one has a bit of a thread. the first New Wave / Synthpop record I bought was in March 1982, when I got the 12" of I Ran by A Flock Of Seagulls. I guess it was the first record I bought not being influenced by a friend or someone from high school. Already so many volumes behind me I decided to look back at the real early 80's, with even some '79 songs. The total of 25 songs were taken from the period 1979-1982. The second thread is the optimistic and good vibe of the songs. I n these uncertain days, we need some light to take us to the end of this Corona tunnel.
